Embracing the Future: My Philosophy of Digital Learning

In today’s dynamic world, the fusion of learning and technology has changed education, opening an era of infinite opportunities. As a future educator, my philosophy revolves around the belief that digital learning isn’t merely a tool but a gateway to promoting curiosity, encouraging collaboration, and nurturing a lifelong love for learning. I strongly believe that learning surpasses the limit of traditional classroom. Technology serves as an enabler by making education accessible to many students in ways they would not be able to imagine, regardless of geographical barriers. It empowers students to dig deeper into subjects that grab their interest, allowing personalized learning experiences tailored to their pace and preferences. Incorporating digital learning in my classroom entails a modern approach. I aim to use various technological tools to create an engaging and interactive learning environment. Using Technology to Support Diverse Learners

Over the years, technology has become one of the most powerful tools that enable teachers to engage with students in so many different ways we never thought possible. It has become an essential part of teaching that helps with supporting our diverse learners, exceptional students, and our ESL students. Technology offers many ways to support and allows us to use different strategies that students can use to help make learning fun and engaging all while supporting the student needs. Using technology in the classroom allows for personalized learning platforms that allows the students to adapt to instructional content at their own pace and the support that they need for each student. This extension offers features like text-to-speech, highlighting, and voice notes. It assists students with reading difficulties, making digital text more accessible...

Digital Resources for the Classroom

A great digital resource is of course YouTube. YouTube is a digital resource that can be used in a classroom to show videos to the class to analyze, evaluate, and even create education videos to share with each other. I love YouTube for so many reasons. This multiplication mash up video is a great way to introduce students to multiplication. Students can listen to the song while working on multiplication which can help them to recall the facts. Students can then create their own video singing the song with classmates.  Flip, also known as Flipgrid, is a great way for students to collaborate with each other asynchronously thru videos, audio, and comments. This is a great digital resource for students to apply what they know and create short vides to show their understanding or even to just practice their presentation skills. This is also a great tool for bilingual students to practice for their TELPAS test. It can help them to practice for their speaking portion of their test...

She made learning so fun and always had the sweetest and most welcoming classroom. I hope to one day be the teacher that my 4th grade teacher was to me.
